3. Products

We make every effort to display our products accurately, including descriptions, weights, and images. However, slight variations in appearance may occur due to the nature of fresh and frozen produce.

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any product from sale at any time without notice.

4. Placing an Order

When you place an order on our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. Your order is not confirmed until you receive an order confirmation email from us.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases where:

  • A product is out of stock or unavailable
  • We are unable to verify your payment
  • A pricing error has occurred on our website
  • We suspect fraudulent activity

If we cancel your order after payment has been taken, we will issue a full refund within 5 to 10 working days.

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Other methods are displayed at checkout

All payments are processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your full card details on our systems. By placing an order, you confirm that the payment details you provide are accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method.

7. Delivery

We aim to deliver all orders within the timeframe specified at checkout. Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

We currently deliver across the United Kingdom. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.

Free delivery is available on qualifying orders. Please refer to our website for the current free delivery threshold.

You are responsible for ensuring that someone is available to receive your delivery at the address provided. If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful and the goods are perishable, we may not be able to arrange a re-delivery, and a refund may not be applicable.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including adverse weather, carrier delays, or incorrect delivery information provided by you.

8. Perishable Goods and Food Safety

Due to the nature of our products, many items are fresh or frozen and are subject to strict food safety requirements.

Upon delivery, you are responsible for:

  • Inspecting your order promptly
  • Storing products correctly according to the guidance on the packaging
  • Refrigerating or freezing perishable items immediately upon receipt

We cannot accept returns or offer refunds on perishable goods that have been stored incorrectly after delivery. Please refer to Section 9 (Returns and Refunds) for full details.

9. Returns and Refunds

We want you to be fully satisfied with every order. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery at orders@horebafricanstore.co.uk.

We will offer a replacement or refund where:

  • Products arrive damaged or spoiled due to our error or a delivery failure
  • You received incorrect items
  • Products are missing from your order

We are unable to offer refunds where:

  • Perishable goods have been incorrectly stored after delivery
  • You have changed your mind after receiving fresh or frozen products
  • The issue is reported more than 24 hours after delivery

Non-perishable products may be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unopened and in their original condition. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.

Refunds will be processed within 5 to 10 working days to your original payment method.

10. Cancellations

You may cancel your order before it has been dispatched by contacting us as soon as possible at orders@horebafricanstore.co.uk.

Once an order has been dispatched, we are unable to cancel it. In this case, please refer to our Returns and Refunds policy above.

For perishable orders, cancellation may not be possible once the order has been prepared for dispatch due to the time-sensitive nature of the goods.

11. Accuracy of Information

We make every effort to ensure that product information, pricing and availability displayed on our website is accurate and up to date. However, errors may occasionally occur.

If we discover an error in the price or description of a product you have ordered, we will notify you as soon as possible and give you the option to confirm your order at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
